Crab soup made easy

There is nothing better than a big pot of delicious Maryland Crab Soup. Here is an updated recipe of an earlier blog post for those who want a quick but delicious version of this wonderful seafood treat.

What you will need:

7 qt. dutch oven filled 3/4 with water

1/2 to 1 lb. of crab meat either back fin or claw

1/4 cup of Old Bay Seasoning

2 tbsp. Kosher Salt

2 tbsp. black pepper

2 cups beef broth

4 potatoes diced

1 small onion

1 can of corn

1 can of string beans or peas

1 can lima beans

1 can of sliced carrots

1 can of diced tomatoes

Cook for 2 hours on medium with lid off. Then 2 hours on low with lid on.

For those who would prefer a bit healthier version, just be sure to find cans of veggies with no salt or low salt added.

For anyone wanting the version with beef added and fresh vegetables go to my blog post titled “Homemade Crab Soup By JB.”

Hope you all enjoy!!
