The concept of Guardian angels is nothing new. They have been around for centuries. I am not a religious person, but spiritually, oh yes, I firmly believe in my Guardian Angel, my late brother.

                                            The Guidance is There

My guardian angel is my late brother. When I lost my brother, who was only 31 at the time of his passing, my life changed forever. We were extremely close, though 9 years apart in age. There has been some element taking me where I have gone through the years, and I know it is him. The path has had many bumps, but the lessons learned along the way have been nothing but priceless. There are those times when I have argued with my conscience. The result, be it good or not so good, comes from deep within me. That is my brother’s voice.

Guardian angels have a job to do. I believe they let you go through experiences, to the point of maybe even learning valuable life lessons. Then they swoop in to save you from self-destruction. Let me explain.

                                         A Guardian Angel’s Force

Let it not be said that we all walk alone. I believe that when a particular person is taken from us before their time, they stay a part of us to help us move through many obstacles in our lives. Of course, not all the paths forward may be positive, but a guardian angel exerts its influence, you just need to react.

The last five months for me have been very difficult, on me and my family. Sparing the details, I made some decisions which in retrospect, I wouldn’t make again. Things were long and drawn out. I’ve always been stubborn and headstrong, and have always needed to come to conclusions on my own. Peoples interference in the issues just made me more determined to handle it my way.  And so enters my guardian angel. As I stated, I firmly believe my brother’s influence has been with me since his death, 40 years ago.

The outcome was not what I was expecting, but the timely manner in which it was delivered, should give everyone pause. Just one day before the 40th anniversary of his passing, something of great importance was brought to my attention, and for a good reason. It changed my path drastically and saved me from making maybe the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. Needless to say, it just reaffirmed what I already knew. My brother was there by my side to guide me, though it was touch and go getting there.

                                       Why You Should Believe

There are those of you who will read this and go wow what a  looney tune. That’s okay though. To believe in guardian angels is to understand that we don’t always walk through this life alone and confused.

The belief has to be strong . It is for me and always has been. My brother was a strong influence in my life. He was a good family man, son and brother. He always pushed me and encouraged me down the right roads. Believe that the one person who you loved and trusted, but is no longer with you, is guiding you down the correct path. Just go with it and trust your decision. It might just be the right one!
