I try so hard to stay away from discussing anything political. Unfortunately, it’s not an easy task. Perhaps because there are just to many idiots to talk about. So let’s talk about the climate, Kathy Griffin and everyone else, in that order.
Climate Change, Weather and Economy
So many agree that our climate is going through a change. The issue is who is exactly responsible for it taking place. There are those who feel man has done damage, and then there are others who are skeptical saying that it’s just Earth going through its cycle. I like that one but it scares me too. Does that mean that at some point, due to a catastrophic situation, that we’ll return to the Ice Age?
All opinions are my own here, and I will say for one, that the sun seems a lot stronger to me these days, and it doesn’t take me being outside to long to get a sunburn. Well ozone was a contributing factor to that happening. The ozone layer has been effected by man-made situations, those being manufacturing plants emitting fumes, car emissions, and so on and so forth. See link: https://www.epa.gov/ozone-layer-protection
I also think we can all agree that our weather is not what you might call ” the Norm” at this point in time. Where I live, we had 90 in April and 55 in May. Some places recorded snowfall in May too. Somewhat out of the norm, well yes, I do believe it is. The magnitudes of storms have become more powerful in recent years, and effecting everyone equally. Hurricanes, tornadoes and flooding rains, know no boundaries anymore. Temperatures in the oceans of the world, are getting warmer. Places in the northern climates are experiencing major ice melts. Earth’s changing cycle? My opinion, probably not, but it’s all relative. Atmospheric patterns to me probably do go through changes, but man need not add more fuel to the fire. And it has and still is doing so. No matter what you think caused the issues, it’s effects will leave scars on all of us, in one form or another.
Economy and Weather
There is no escaping how the economy is being effected and altered by climate change and extreme weather conditions. Floods and droughts cause prices to either drop or rise. Food, insurance, even health care costs, can thank our climate and weather for those industries jacking up prices. Damage and destruction from hurricanes, tornadoes, and even major snow events, can send a wallop to your wallet and 401k’s.
I can’t explain just how the Paris Climate Agreement will really make the difference. All I know is that we all need to do our parts. So to all the protestors who leave their trash on the ground, shut up and pick it up. To those with defective car mufflers, get them fixed. Recycle if you can, even a little helps. It’s not just up to governments, it’s up to us to take care of our planet. People usually can help make the difference if they want too.
Kathy Griffin and the Other Fools
I will make this very brief, since she has already gotten enough attention. Personally, I’ve never found her funny anyways. Yes, what she did was tasteless, but the case has been made as to the lack of response from all sides when something of a similar caliber was done to the last President.
Disrespect is disrespect. You can’t pick and choose who it hurts more. No sitting President should have to tolerate such vulgar acts aimed toward them. And this goes back to all former President’s in the last 20 years.
So to all of those who think this act was disgusting, yes it was. To those who applaud her, how did you feel when it happened to your guy? And to those disgusted now, guess you thought it was okay before with the last one? It doesn’t work that way. None of it is right. She created her own problem, so let her deal with it and may we all move on to more important things down the road.
