So when I started this Salty Sixties blog, I honestly had no idea what to expect from it or any reactions to it. Needless to say, not many reactions so far. Some have looked, one has commented and so it goes forward.
I always enjoyed writing when I was younger. My imagination was vivid in grade school and as years went on I wrote for the school paper in high school. I never really kept a journal, but when things got tense or stressful, writing was my outlet.
It’s been interesting to see what exactly people trend towards in blogs. Animals and food tend to be a popular subject, as is health and beauty. Lord knows I am no expert in any of those areas. The idea though is that I have experienced something connected to these topics, we all have.
I am not a chef, but I cook and enjoy it. I am not a fitness expert, but I workout and know what might work for others besides me. I am not a doctor, but through the years I have read and educated myself on certain medical conditions, especially those which affect me. I am not a vet, but I love animals with a passion, sometimes more than people.
Now I am 61! Living life itself makes you interested in what’s out there. This is why I blog. It gives me the chance to talk about some of those interests, and just maybe connect with one person out there, who may want to read it. Leaving for vacation tomorrow, but taking my gadgets with me. Who knows what the next topic will be. I can’t wait to find out!
